Looking for authorised representatives in the other member states
Since 12 August 2026 the appointment duty exists in all twenty-seven member states, not just here. My clients ask me every week who they should use in France, Italy, Spain or Poland, and I have nobody to name. If you carry that role in your country, this is a straight swap.
What this is
A referral relationship between two small operations, not a reseller programme. You send me the sellers who need a representative in Germany. I send you the ones who need one in yours. No commission in either direction, no exclusivity, no contract to sign before we have both seen how the other one works.
I would rather name one person I have checked than hand a client a list of ten and hope. That is the whole idea, and it is also why I am picky about who I name.
What I cover
- Authorised representative under the PPWR and the German VerpackDG
- Registration guidance for the German register, system participation, quantity reports, annual closing report
- €55 a year for a shop under 250 parcels and up to 65 kg of packaging; system participation calculated separately from materials and quantities
- Correspondence in English and German
- Very small sellers welcome — that is most of my book
What I am looking for
- You actually hold the representative role in your country, or you are registered to take it on
- Published prices, or at least a figure you will say out loud in the first email
- You answer messages within a few days
- You are willing to tell a seller they do not need you, when they do not
- One country done properly beats five done vaguely
Be honest about what you cover. Packaging, electricals and batteries are three separate regimes with three separate registers. If you only do one of them, say so — it is more useful to me than a list of everything.
How it usually runs
Somebody writes to me because a marketplace has blocked their listing in Germany. Ten minutes into the conversation it turns out they also ship to France and Italy and have no idea that the same duty applies there. At that point I want a name and an email address, not a search engine.
Going the other way: a seller in your country selling into Germany needs a German representative before they may put packaged goods on the market here. There is no exemption and no minimum quantity. If they ask you, you have somewhere to send them.
Nobody signs anything. If the first two referrals go well, we keep going.

Fill this in and I will reply myself within three to five working days. If we are not a fit I will say so plainly rather than leave you waiting.
